Frequently asked questions
What size are the lanyards?
They are 3/4" wide and 36" long, the standard length for a neck lanyard. The badge hangs at about mid-chest.
Is the design printed on both sides?
Yes. Your design is dye-sublimated in full color on both sides of the lanyard, the same image on each side, printed so it reads correctly from either side.
Which clip should we choose?
The bulldog clip is our default. It grips a badge through its punched slot, so it is the right fit for our PVC name badges. The lobster claw clip is a spring-loaded hook for keys, badge reels or ID holders with a round hole. Both are the same price.
What is a safety breakaway?
A small plastic clasp at the back of the neck that pulls apart if the lanyard is tugged or caught, then snaps back together. We recommend it for staff who work around equipment or crowds. It adds $0.45 per lanyard.
Can we order an exact number?
Yes. Pick a common amount from the quantity list, or choose Custom and type any number from 17 to 5,000. The price updates as you go, and the price per lanyard drops as the quantity goes up.
How well does the print hold up?
Dye sublimation dyes the ink into the satin fabric instead of printing it on top, so the colors stay bright, the lanyard stays smooth and soft, and the print holds up well to everyday wear.
How should we set up our artwork?
Set up your file 36" long by 3/4" tall, laid flat. The imprint area is 33" x 5/8": leave 1.5" blank at each end, where the clip and stitching go, and keep text and logos at least 1/16" from the top and bottom edges. Send vector art (PDF, AI or EPS) or a 300 dpi image. Easiest of all: send your logo and the words you want, and our art team will lay it out and send you a proof.
Can you design our lanyards?
Yes. Choose "Let us Design for You" when you order and our art department will contact you about your project. Design help is $45 and is added to your order.
How fast can we get them?
Production takes 5 business days after you approve your proof, and shipping time is added after that. Up against a deadline? Email info@flyoverprint.com and we will tell you what we can do.
Do you charge for shipping?
